Mrs. Ethel Lou Lane's Obituary
On December 25, 2016, the Lord said my work on earth was done. He picked me, Ethel Lue, born March 5, 1922, in Rison, Arkansas. My father Earnest and mother Onnie was waiting for me, along with my daughter Tina, brother Herman and husband John. Mother Martha said," Come on in here girl! I've been waiting on you!" Here is the story of my life. I was educated in Rison, Arkansas. Accepted Christ at an early age; my father baptized me. I went to Detroit for a better life. I married and had two wonderful children, Alma and Gustine. I joined True Love Baptist Church. I worked for the Jewish Home for many years. After retiring, I moved to Meridian to be with my children. I loved to cook and being with my children and grandchildren who call me Bubbie. I am leaving behind my ,daughter Alma (Jimmy Jr.), sister Shirley and brother-in-law Bobby Lane. Many grandchildren, Jimmy Ill (Celina), Jeannetta, Alesia, Letoya, Katina, Jerome (Keisha), D' Angelo and Latasha (Shedric). Three nephews, Earnest (Tasha), Orlando (Resa) and Samuel. Also, a lot of great grand and great-great grands. As you can see, we always loved a big family. Don't worry about me. I have no more pain. Don't cry. When you need me, put your hand on your heart ... that's where I'll be. Remember our talks and what I taught you. You said you love me? Well, Right back at you!
