Mrs. Ethel Mae Spencer's Obituary
Mrs. Ethel Mae Spencer was born September 25, 1932, in Lauderdale County, Meridian, MS to the late Floyd and Ira White. She confessed her life to Christ at an early age. She became a member of Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health failed. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Island Spencer on July 5, 1952, until his death. Mrs. Spencer was preceded in death by her husband Island Spencer, her father Floyd White, mother Ira White Short, sister Lavern Moore and Stepmother Essie White. She leaves to cherish her memories through a loving and devoted son Larry Darnell Spencer, of Collinsville, MS, one step-daughter Mrs. Nettie Green of Lakeland, FL, six children of whom she raised as her own; Lee Lewis (Rochell), Willie Spencer, Gloria Jennings, Sharon Hopson all of Collinsville, MS, Randy Spencer (Felecia) of Gulfport, MS and Geraldine Sillimon of Meridian, MS, Two Special grandchildren; Cemetrice and Tera Spencer of Collinsville, MS, a sister Shirley Nichols of Hollandale, MS, a host of great-grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a special friend Romona Stancil Spencer.
