Mrs. Ethel Mae Turner's Obituary
Ethel Mae Blanks Turner was born on February 20, 1941 in Butler, AL to the late Theodore (Rowe), Sr. And Oradee Brown Blanks.
Growing up in Butler, Ethel was one of eight children and graduated from Choctaw County Training School in Lisman, AL. Ethel was a licensed beautician in Meridian, MS for many years.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, AL. She later joined New Life Independent Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rowe & Oradee, her son Gregory Wallace, her husband Willie Turner; three brother: Roosevelt Jr., Caldwell & Fuzzy Blanks.
Ethel is survived by: two daughters: Joann (Darryl) Mercer of Meridian, MS; Jacqueline Wallace of Houston, Texas; one son, James (Mamie) Wallace of Lawrenceville, Georgia; one brother, Robert (Dora) Blanks of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three sisters Mabel Tyson and Marie Mears of Cincinnati, Ohio; Peggy Brown of Butler, AL; eight grandchildren: Sharika and Akeem Mercer; James Wallace, Jr.; Tiffany Drake, Sanchez, Anaseasia * Florisa Turner, Allison Wallace; ten great grandchildren; two aunts: Odis Jones of Butler, AL; Evelyn Washington of Birmingham, AL. Ethel is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
