Mr. Eugene Thedford's Obituary
Egene "Gene" Thedford was born on October 3, 1960 to the late William "Bill" and Annie Mag Thedford in Kemper County, MS. He united in holy matrimony to Delores Jenkins on October 21, 1985. To this union two daughters were born, Tikisha and Tinika. He graduated from East Kemper High School in Scooba, MS in May, 1979. He grew up attending the Tomola Church of God. He and his family united with the 8th Avenue Church of God, where he served on the Usher Board. Eugene was currently employed with the East MS Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer. His previous employment included: U. L. Collins Texaco Service Station, Meridian Machine Works, Avery Dennison and Gipson Steel. Eugene loved to watch westerns and sports. He also loved to hunt and go on vacations with his family. He loved his family and his friends. There was never a dull moment when we were around Gene. He never met a stranger and was well known in his community. Left to cherish his memories are his loving and devoted wife -Delores Thedford and two daughters -Tikisha LaToya Thedford and Tinika LaTosha Thedford of Meridian, MS; two sisters -Bernice (Lester) Reed and Barbara Smith of Meridian, MS; a mother-in-law -Ms. Patsy Jenkins of Meridian, MS; a father-in-law -Rev. Calvin (Lillie) Jenkins of Meridian, MS; three brothers-in-law -Trent (Kathy) Jenkins of Fayetteville, NC; Des try Jerome Jenkins of Boston, MA; and Markress Jenkins of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters-in-law -Brenda T. (Anthony) Warbington of Meridian, MS and Sharita (Timothy) Alexander of Atlanta, GA; six nephews and eight nieces; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his brother, William Thedford,Jr.
