Ms. Fannie Mae Burrage's Obituary
Fannie Mae Burrage was born on February 13, 1953 to the late Cleveland Burrage, Jr., and Hattie Sue Burrage Taylor in Meridian, Mississippi. Mae Mae, as she was affectionately called, began her spiritual journey at an early age at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Her educational years were spent at Middleton Attendance Center. In her earlier years, she relocated to Florida where she spent many years. Later in life, she decided to move back home to be close to her many family members and friends. Although she never had any biological children of her own, she had many nieces, nephews, and godchildren who's lives she played a very valuable part in raising. Mae Mae loved spending time with family. She loved going to church always singing and giving praises to the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father, Cleveland Burrage, Jr., three brothers: Larry Burrage, Grover Burrage, and Wayne Davis; two sisters: Melanie Burrage, and Peggy Westerfield; and one godchild/niece: Tabitha Cistrunk Roberts. Fannie leaves to cherish her memories her loving mother, Hattie Taylor; sisters: Alice Cistrunk, Wanda Burrge, Annetta Taylor, Cora (Kevin) Hudson, Irene (Fred) Cross, Wilhelmina (Raymond) Ruffin, Caroline Lewis-Thomas, and Katherine Lewis; three brothers: Timothy Burrage, James Burrage and Alvin Taylor; one sister in law: Mattie Davis; four grandchildren: Frankie Cistrunk, Jr., Charles Ray Burrage, Maria Howard and Henry Walker. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
