Mrs. Florine Watson Naylor's Obituary
Sister Florine Watson Naylor was born to the late Mrs. L’Julie McGrew and Mr. Tommy Watson on April 19, 1941, in Lauderdale County of Mississippi. Sister Florine Naylor was called to be with the Lord and the love of her life of fifty-five years, Tommie Junior Naylor. She was a devoted wife, caring mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to many.
Florine Naylor was united in marriage to Tommie Naylor on September 23, 1963. From their union six children were reared, (2) daughters, Shirley Watson-Mosley and Stephanie Naylor-Walker, Meridian, MS; (4) sons, Tommy Naylor, Meridian, MS, Leonard Naylor, Atlanta, GA, Robert (Phyllis) Naylor, Meridian, MS and Walter (Veronica) Naylor, Albany, GA two special sons Adam (Jakae) Porter, Houston, TX, Alfonzo (Toya) Henderson, Pensacola, FL.
Florine united with Hubbard Bethlehem Church at an early age and later joined Fifth Street Baptist Church. She was a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church. She was a member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church for close to 40 years. She served faithfully as a member and usher until her illness. She was employed with Lauderdale County Public School District for 32 years until her retirement in 2006.
She leaves to cherish (3) sister: Rosie Hopson, Marion, MS, Mable Ann Frazier and Marie Boldin, Birmingham, AL. A special aunt Lucy Johnson Vicksburg, MS, uncle John Walter McGrew, Texas, (6) sisters-in-laws: Katie McDonald and Mary Louise McDonald-James, Ft. Dodge, IA, Diane (Derrick) Moore-McShane, Meridian, MS, Earrie Mosley, Meridian, MS Rosemary Mosley-Walker, Jackson, MS, Patsy and (late Tommy) Watson, Moutrie, GA; (1) brother-in-law: James (Diane) White, Porterville, MS, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tommie Naylor (1) sister, Lula Bell McConico, Birmingham, AL (2) brothers, Tommy Watson, Macon, GA, and Bill Samuel Steele, Birmingham, AL.
