Mr. Freddie Lee Young's Obituary
Freddie Lee Young was born May 11, 1964, to the late Willie James Young and Mary Louise Peeples Young.
At a young age, Freddie joined the Greater Calvary Baptist Church. Later in life, he joined Grace Baptist Church.
Freddie's journey through education commenced within the halls of the Meridian Public Schools, where he was a 1982 graduate of Meridian High School. He furthered his education at Meridian Community College.
Freddie began his career as a warehouse manager but later found a passion for caring for people which led him into the field of health care. He worked various places throughout the years as a Direct Care Worker.
Freddie loved sports, especially football. He was an avid Los Angeles Rams fan. He also loved playing softball with many teams as a means to stay fit. Because of his love for sports, you could always find him seated in front of the television watching sports. When he wasn't watching sports, you could find him casting a reel on a fishing bank.
The Bible states that when a man find a wife, he finds a good thing and that's exactly what happened to Freddie when he met the love of his life and united in holy matrimony to Lugertha Evans Cole. Freddie was an awesome father to his stepson, Adrian Lorenzo Cole.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Mary Louise Young and Jeanette Young.
In addition to his wife and stepson, Freddie leaves memories to be cherished by six sisters, Dorothy Prince (Fado), Marsha Hicks, and Lorine Brooks all of Houston, TX, Delois Cole (Mike) of Wilmington, NC, Helen Thames (Bill) of Pensacola, FL and Ora Lee Dunn of Meridian, MS; four brothers, Robert Taylor of Oxford, NC, James Peeples (Samantha) of Cin-cinnati, OH, Charles Young of Houston, IX and Archie Young of Sandford, FL. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Freddie was loved and cherished by many. His kindness and radiant smile that was enough to brighten anyone's darkest day will forever be missed.
