Mrs. Geneva Hill's Obituary
Geneva "Boo" Spinks Hill was born on July 10, 1932 in Kemper County to the late Johnny and Beatrice Spinks. She attended school in Daleville, MS. She accepeted Christ at an early age where she joined and attended New Hope Blackwater Baptist Church in DeKalb, MS. She later found solace at New Life Independent Missionary Baptist Church, where her nephew, Rev. Paul Clayton currently serves as Pastor. In 1951, her hand was asked in marriage by Roscoe Hill, of Daleville, MS. To this union, two lovely girls were born. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone she came into contact with. She was a caretaker for multiple families. She became a cook for various restaurants. After retiring for Old Farm Beef House, she became a Foster Grandparent at Carver Middle School. After a deblitating illness, she had to retire from being a foster grandparent. She made the decision to unite where her children fellowshipped. Geneva "Boo" Spinks Hill, 85, of Meridian departed this earthly life and transistioned to her Heavenly Home on May 26, 2018 in Meridian, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters, Gussie Clayton-Blakely and Betty Pollard; five brothers: Hervery Spinks, Jessie Spinks, Tom Spinks, Scooter Spinks, and Howard Spinks. She leaves to cherish her memories, two loving and devoted daughters: Bertha Mae Trussell and Ida Mae Croft, both of Meridian, MS; one brother, Malcom Jospeh Spinks of Meridian, MS, seven grandchildren all of whom called her "Big Mama": Katrina Trussell of Douglasville, GA, Tiwiana Trussell of Meridian, MS, Norris Croft Jr. of Columbia, SC, Kimberly Clark of Symrna, GA, Demarkus Trussell of Meridian, MS, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She also leavs to cherish her memories: one god daughter, Doris Thomas of Jackson, MS and a loving, caring, friend who was like a sister to her, Ms. Sarah Walker.
