She attended school in the town of Tamola, Mississippi. She worked at Porterville's Headstart, where she started as a Cook. Later, she attended East Mississippi Jr. College and Workshops at several other locations and became an Educator, where she later retired. On May 25, 2022, Gennie Mae (Baby Sis) passed away peacefully as she sat on her bedside. She was 93 years old and a lifelong Mississippian native. Gennie was well-loved in her small town. She was the mother of fourteen children. Despite her large family, Gennie always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family and everyone else, whether in the neighborhood or out. She and her husband, Judge worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their children. Many can attest to her early rising each morning to prepare a fried chicken breakfast for all the children who chose to walk up to her home and have breakfast before school. Gennie was predeceased by her husband of 79 years, Judge Jimison, and by her daughters, Katie Ree Jimison and Essie (Tony Lee) Hubbard. She is survived by her twelve children, Mary Bramlett, Elizabeth (Lester) Sillimon, Lucille (Lorenzo) Mosley, Judge, Jr. (Annie) Jimison, Freeman Jimison, Johnny Jimison, Bessie (Arthur) Hopson, Robert (Ruby) Jimison, Tommie (Natista) Jimison, Kenneth (Veronica) Jimison, Jacqueline Clark and Reniece (Longino) Walker; 43 grandchildren, 91 great grandchildren and 10 great-greatgrandchildren,.a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives. Although we would .have preferred to keep her here with us forever, we understand God's plans were far greaterthan anything that we could have imagined for her. We're not worried because we know in our hearts that her works here, met his standards there for entering the gates of heaven.
