Mr. George Anderson, Sr.'s Obituary
The late Mr. George Lamar Anderson, Sr., known to most as "Papa George" and "Sweet Sugar Dap daddy" was born February 25, 1946, in Clarke County to the late Robert and Rubell Anderson. George was married to the late Julie Mae Trotter where they had a 40 year union until she was called home March 14, 2001. He departed this life on March 14, 2018, at Regency Hospice. Papa George worked at Southwood Door Company until he retired. He is preceded in death by his parents: Robert & Rubell Anderson, 2 sons; George Jr. & Henry James Anderson; 2 sisters, Bennie L. Johnson & Annie R. Pruitt, 3 brothers; A.C. Green & Johnny L. & Charlie "CJ" Anderson. He leaves to cherish his memories: a wife, Ka Tina Naylor-Anderson of Meridian, Ms; 8 children: Charles, David, James Anderson all of Pachuta, Ms; Kailone "Lil Bud" Anderson of Meridian, MS; Tamia (Charles) McMickle, Pachuta, MS, Angelia (Tom Pickens), Mary Anderson Shubuta, MS, La Tonya Anderson of Ocean Springs, Ms; God daughter Tonica Clarke of Hattiesburg, MS; 5 sisters: Trudy Watts of New Orleans, LA; Ethel Williams, Dorothy Kirk, Delois Watts, and Ruby (Harold) Bolden all of Pachuta, MS; 4 brothers: Robert Anderson Jr. Pachuta, MS, Henry D. Anderson, Michael Matthews of Shubuta MS and Willie Matthews of Laurel, Ms; one uncle: Harvey Anderson of Albany, NY; 16 grand-children, 26 great grand-children and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many, many friends.
