George ''Ricky" Davis, Jr. was born on July 10, 1959 in Meridian, MS to the late George Davis, Sr. and the late Louise Steele Davis. George was educated through Meridian Public School System where he graduated from Meridian High School Class of 1977. After graduation, he attended Meridian Community College and majored and graduated in the Emergency Medical Technician program. He was the first black Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Meridian, MS. In his spare time, he loved watching old movies and spending time with family and friends. George answered the call of God and moved to his Heavenly home on Friday, January 28, 2022 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents. George leaves to cherish his memories: his sons, Ricktory (Chiquita) Spencer, Derrick Davis of Murfreesboro, TN, Edmund Davis and Eric Davis; two (2) grandchildren: Jatorius and Antorion; one (1) sister, Sabrina (Michael) Clark; one (1) niece, Victoria Michelle Clark; one (1) nephew, Michael Antonio (Shanika) Clark; one godson, Charricko Spencer; one (1) uncle, Lovell (Willie Ann) Davis; aunts: Rosie Pearl Dixon and Arecia Steele; a host of cousins and great friends. George will truly be missed.
