Mr. George Herlong Jr's Obituary
George Herlong, Jr., was born Febmaiy 27, 1953 to the late Maiy Elizabeth Hayes and West Herlong. At an early age, he joined St. John Missionaiy Baptist Church. He was educated in the Meridian Public School System. George was employee with the City of Meridian for many.
“June Bug” as he was affectionately known loved dancing. He was a very cheerful person who loved helping others. Many knew him as a “towel popper” as he would always twist and pop a towel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Hayes and West Herlong.
He leaves to cherish his many memories: his loving Aunt, Dorothy Pickett and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
