Mr. George Elbert Hosley's Obituary
George Elbert Hosley was born on March 24, 1943 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late Flora Mae and Andrew Hosley.
Tom, as he was affectionately known, confessed Christ at an early age. After completing high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served from 1963-1969 before being Honorably Discharged.
Tom loved just being himself, walking daily, and listening to music. He loved his family, and his grandchildren were the joy of his life.
On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, George Elbert Hosley transcended from this earth to his eternal home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers: Roy Hosley, Ray Hosley, and Otis Hosley.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two loving daughters: Phyllis Hosley of Wiggins, MS; and Cassandra Hosley of Alpharetta, GA; two grandchildren: Justin Hosley of Duluth, GA; and Alishia Baylor of Meridian, MS; eight great-grandchildren: Aa’Nihya Lockhart, JaKenziie Hosley, Ahmari Lockhart, Kingston Hosley, Baileigh Hosley, Braylon Hosley, London Mosley, and Makayla Hosley; four sisters: Tommie Jean Baylor of Memphis, TN; Carolyn Martin (Edward) of Las Vegas, NV; Donna Kay Ruffin of Meridian, MS; and Clara Goins of San Diego, CA; one brother: McArthur Hosley of San Diego, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He also leaves a beloved friend for life, Bettie Hosley.
