Glenda Faye Barfield was called home in God's time on March 15, 2023, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. She was born on December 1, 1958, in Meridian, MS, to the late Betty "Barfield" Marshall and the late Curtis Darden. She was raised by her stepfather, the late Howard Marshall. Glenda enjoyed spending time with her family and sitting outside enjoying the simplicity of nature. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends at her adult daycare, New Beginnings. At her daycare, she created artwork, attended field trips, and engaged in arts and crafts activities. Glenda was preceded in death by her mother Betty Jean Marshall, her father Curtis Darden, her grandmother Savannah Cryer Barfield, her grandfather Albert Barfield, her stepfather Howard Marshall, her aunt Mary Lee Naylor, and her uncle Albert Barfield, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her siblings: Helen Aikens, Gloria (Samuel) Roundtree, Holly Marshall, Priscilla Marshall, Keith Marshall, Sandra (Carlos) Pickens, and Erica Powe. Her aunts: Sallie (Norman) Jimerson and Sarah Phillips. Her uncle, James (Kate) Barfield. A host of nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
