Mrs. Gloria J. Crawford's Obituary
Mrs. Gloria Jean Crawford entered the Heavenly gates on
June 18, 2024 at Ochsner Rush Health Hospital. She was born on July 23, 1950 to the late Alberta Chapman Stanley and Alfonso Wilson. She was the second of six children and eldest girl. She was preceded in death by her grand parents: Vallie and Albert Chapman; her parents; and two brothers:
Bobby Ray and Thomas Stanley.
Gloria joined First Baptist Church at an early age, where she gave her life to Christ. She attended Central High School and was a Class of 1970 graduate from Enterprise High School.
Gloria united in holy matrimony to Harvey Lee Brown.
Gloria then met and married her second husband, Willie James Crawford and moved to San Francisco, CA. She returned to Enterprise MS where she worked for numerous employers including Burlington Industries for 27 years until it's closure and Dart Container Corp until her retirement.
Gloria wasn't blessed with children of her own but she treated her nephews and nieces like they were her very own.
She was such a sweet and humble person who would give her all to help anyone in need. She loved her family and was a true angel who will be missed dearly. Her family often referred to her as "Ms. WTOK" because she loved to be the first to tell the news that was going on around town.
She leaves to mourn her passing, a brother Kenneth Stanley of Meridian MS, 2 sisters Deborah Stanley of Enterprise MS and Pamela (Jerry) Gordon of Meridian MS, nieces Latasha (Myron) Savage of Milwaukee Wl, Kendra Stanley of Enterprise MS, Asia Cook of Hattiesburg MS, Tiatanna Stanley of Enterprise MS, Layla Cook and Leilani Cook of Kemper MS nephews Rashard Stanley of Gautier MS, Pierre Stanley and Blair Cook of St Augustine TX, Jachiea Atterberry of Gulfport MS, Jadavian Morris of Tuscaloosa AL, Jamani Stanley, De'Varion Ford and Tomarrion Ford of Racine WI and one last living aunt, Letha Steel of New Orleans LA, a good friend Geneva Johnson and several great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
