Mrs. Gloria Ann King's Obituary
Gloria Ann King was born on October 5, 1960 in Meridian, MS to Mrs. Lee Girtha Cole Hall and the late Mr. Ben Hall, Sr. She answered the call from God to transition from her earthly home to her Heavenly home on Saturday, December 21, 2019.
Gloria attended school in Meridian and graduated from Meridian High School in 1978. She became employed with the Meridian Public School Transportation and also with Econo Lodge.
Gloria confessed Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the leaderships of Rev. G.W. Chandler, Rev. Bobby Ray Nichols and current pastor, Rev. Thomas C. Howell, Sr.
Gloria was married to Eddie C. King, Sr. and to their union, two (2) children were born, Eddie King, Jr. and Ashley Nicole King.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Ben Hall, Sr.; husband, Eddie C. King, Sr.; two (2) sisters: Mary Alice Hall and Betty L. Jennings; two brothers (2): David E. Hall and Ben Hall, Jr.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Eddie C. King, Jr. and daughter, Ashley Nicole King, both of Meridian, MS; grandchildren: Romeo and Paige King, Cedric Harris, Clinton Hubbard, Jr., Jaterence Brewster and Lazarus Hamilton, all of Meridian, MS; her mother, Mrs. Lee Girtha Cole Hall of Mobile, AL; two (2) sisters: Elder Annie Ruth Gulley of Mobile, AL and Dora Williams of Meridian, MS; four (4) brothers: Raymond Hall and Lee Arthur Hall of Meridian, MS; Frederick (Jean) Hall, Sr. of Davenport, IA; and Dewayne Harris of Atlanta, GA; two (2) uncles: Mr. Lee Nell Hall of Gulfport, MS; and Mr. Grady (Shirley) Hall of Cleveland, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
