Mrs. Glory Jean Nelson Holliday's Obituary
Glory Jean Nelson Holliday was born April 28, 1960 in Meridian, Mississippi. She was the third of five children born to the union of Josielean Hodges and the late Louis Nelson. At an early age, Glory joined Pine Grove Baptist Church, Bailey, MS, where she was baptized. She later joined Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health failed. She received her education in the Meridian Public Schools, graduating from Meridian High School in May, 1978. Afterwards she joined the worlforce. Her work experience included Kroger's, Wal-Mart and sitting with the elderly and disabled. On March 3, 1995, Glory was united in holy matrimony to the late Emery Holliday of Dekalb, Mississippi. Glory departed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Montrell Nelson and LaQuinton Holliday, both of Meridian, MS; a mother, Josielean Nelson, Meridian, MS; two brothers, Louis Nelson and Chester (Susie) Nelson, both of Meridian, MS; two sisters, Darlene (Samuel) Latiker, New Orleans, LA and Januana (Jimmy) Ramsey, Meridian, MS; two grandchildren, Jada and Kayla Nelson, Meridian, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Glory was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Holliday, a son, Cedric Nelson and her father, Louis Nelson.
