Ms. Goldie Ann Goodwin's Obituary
Goldie Ann Goodwin was born on September 14, 1969 in Meridian, Ms. to Elouise Goodwin and the late Jessie® Sims. On Friday morning November 3, 2023, a little after midnight, her physical left us at Wayne General Hospital Waynesboro, MS.
During her childhood she joined Pearlie Grove Baptist Church in Quitman, MS. She was a choir member with "100 Voice Choir." She graduated from Quitman High School in 1988. Later got her Associate Degree in Radio Television Broadcasting at Meridian Community College.
Goldie did a brief Stint at T-91 in the early 1900's from
1995-1997. She worked on WSLY 104.9. In the year 2000 she worked for magic 105.7 the beat.
Goldie was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Berry Bruton (BB) Sims, James Wilford Sims, George Turner, Curly Christopher Sims Sr., and one Uncle Paul Goodwin Sr.
Goldie leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Elouise Goodwin, one child Jevasia Lenette Goodwin, one grandchild Josiah Williamson, Siblings: Edna and Thomas Fisher, Bonnie and the late Samuel Hurley, Thomas (Lillian) Sims, Betty Jo (Alfred) Thibeaux, Kara Jean (David) Dixon, and Dr. Timothy Anderson.
One special uncles Elder Charles Goodwin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
