Mr. Gregory M. Jones' Obituary
Gregory Maurice Jones entered into his resting place on April 25, 2021 in Youngstown, Ohio at the age of 46. "Greg" was welcomed into this world on November 27, 1974 to Deborah and Barnie Jones, Jr. "Greg" will now join his maternal grandparents Rosie Ruth Stephens and Austin Walton; his paternal grandparents Luberta and Barnie Jones, Sr.; An uncle, Willie Bender, an aunt Barbara Grant, and a brother Joe Jones among other family and friends. "Greg" attended his school years at the Jones and Jasper School Districts and graduated from Heidelberg High School in Heidelberg, MS in 1993. "Greg" learned his hard work ethic and skill set of carpentry at an early age from his father whom he worked alongside in the family business Jones Construction Company. He also worked in the oil field industry. From a previous relationship he welcomed his first-born daughter Joycette "Ciera" Jones to the lovely Joyce Hughes of Bay Springs, MS. "Greg" met the extraordinary April Hosey of Bay Springs in 1994 whom he called his "Boo" whom he wed on the 17th day of August of 2002 and with this union 3 amazing children were born into the Jones Family; his sons, Cameron Jones of Columbus, OH; Camarion Jones of Bay Springs, MS, and daughter, Chloe Jones of Bay Springs, MS. "Greg" was known to many as being a daredevil and would try just about anything that will make the average person squirm. If he wasn't doing daredevil acts, you could find him tinkering on his race car. "Greg" leaves to enjoy his life and cherish his memory to his mother, Deborah Jones of Paulding, MS; father Barnie (Judy) Jones Jr. of Laurel, MS; extended mother Pinky Lott-Jones of Laurel, MS; brothers Barnell "BJ" Jones of Irving, TX, Tory Allen-Jones, a nephew Ishamel Allen-Jones of Houston, TX;; sisters-sDaphne "Renea" Jones and niece Pinky Milan Jones of Brandon, MS; Jackie (Michael) McCullum, nieces Aubrey and Lacey McCullum; nephews Jaquan and Lazzarius McCullum all of Louin, MS, and Trinity Jones of Chattanooga, TN; a sister-in-law, Ann Cooley Jones,. nieces and nephews, Jakobe and Jaravia Jones, Kamyiah McCullum, Jaylen Ratcliff, Daryn Spinks, Daishune Cooley all of Laurel, MS; Six uncles, Ray "Bubba" (Rosie) Walton, Randy (Dorothy) and Sandy (Barbara) Stephens all of Paulding, MS; Walter "Doug" (Felisha) Jones, Stanley "Wayne" (Mary) Jones all of Pachuta, MS; Andrew (Betty Ann) Bender of Brockton, MA; Four aunts, Shelly Jean Jones of Paulding, MS; Pamela Jones-Smith of Kennesaw, GA; Berdia Kelley of Pachuta, MS; Jean (Frank) Plummer of Brockton, MA; Three great aunts, Willie Townsend of Birmingham, AL; Bertha Lewis and Viola Toney of Meridian, MS; One great uncle John (Patricia) Crosby of Akron, OH; Three special cousins, Shaun (Gloria) Grant of Atlanta, GA; Bridgett Walton and Patrina Hayes of Paulding, MS, and an extended family including The Lott Family originating from Heidelberg, MS, including brother Markeith (Sharifa) Lott of Chicago, IL and a host of close cousins, family and friends.
