Ms. Gustine C. Johnson's Obituary
On October 30, 1954, I, Gustine Johnson was born to Ethel and Gus Johnson. I was a pretty little thing. My sister, Alma Jean adored me. My Uncle Herman and Aunt Shirley thought I was special. I cannot forget my grandparents, Earnest, Martha and Onnie, sitting next to me and welcoming me home. Look, here comes LaKeila, my baby girl running with open arms saying, "Welcome home Mommy”!
Now let me tell you a little about myself. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan. I accepted Christ as my personal Savior at True Love Missionary Baptist under the leadership of my grandfather, Reverend E.N. Cox. I graduated from Mackenzie High School in Detroit, Michigan. I also attended Wayne State University. My first Job was with Ford Motor Company as an administrative assistant. Who would have known I would have ended up In Meridian, Mississippi? I worked for the city of Meridian and Mr. Discount Pharmacy until March 25, 2014 when God carried me home.
I am leaving behind my loving mother, Ethel. My children, Katina and D' Angelo (Shenise). Five grandchildren, Zion, Kyla, D'Angelo, Jr., D'avayah, Devyone. Sister, Alma (Jimmy); Aunt, Shirley; ·Four nieces, Jeannetta, Alesia (John Wayne), Letoya (Charles), Latasha (Shedridc). Four nephews Jimmy HI (Celina), Earnest (Tashala), Orlando (Resa), Jerome, (Keisha) along with a host of great nieces, great nephews and friends. I also leave my life long friends and sisters, Sheila and Patricia. Don't worry about me. I have gone home. Don't cry. I will always be In your heart. Just remember all of the good times we shared and the things I have taught you. I will always love you.
