Mr. Harvey Jones, Sr.'s Obituary
On March 14, 1944, Harvey Jones, Sr. began his walk of life as the son to the late Mary & Julies Welch of Quitman, MS. His walk of life ended on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at his daughter's residence. Harvey is preceded in death by his parents: two brothers, Curtis and Abbies Welch and one sister, Minnie Lou Welch Nix. Harvey spent the majority of his life in Quitman but later moved to Florida. He had recently returned to MS to live with his children. He loved his family and his friends and would do anything to help those in need. Harvey leaves to cherish his memories: three sons, Harvey Jones Jr, Reginald Jones and Sam Bell and three daughters, Shelia (Victor) Rivera, Lisa Bell and Carolyn Lewis all of Meridian, MS; two brothers, Tom (Bonnie) Welch of Quitman, MS and Herbert (Claretha) Welch of Mt Dora, FL; two sisters, Lurenda Welch and Mary (Gary) Turner both of Mt. Dora, FL; his grandchildren, Harvey Jones III, Demarcus Jones, Darius Jones, Chris Smith and Shuyron Macon Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
