Mrs. Hattie Sue Taylor's Obituary
Hattie Sue Taylor was born on April 22, 1933, to the late Cleveland Taylor and Fannie Bell Taylor in Meridian, MS. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Cleveland and Fannie Bell Taylor; one sister, Minnie Lou Taylor; two brothers, Pete Leverne Taylor and Cleveland "Buddy" Taylor; five children, Melanie Burrage, Peggy Westerfield, Larry Burrage, Grover "Bubba" Burrage and Fannie Mae Burrage; one bonus child, Wayne Davis.
"Hattie Sue", as she was affectionately called, began her spiritual journey at an early age at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Her educational years were spent at Bailey School in Bailey, MS. Hattie Sue loved spending time with family until she was ready for everyone to go home.
Hattie Sue leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Alice Cistrunk, Wanda Burrage, Annette Taylor and Cora Hudson (Kevin); three sons, Timothy Burrage, James Burrage and Alvin Taylor; four bonus kids, Irene Cross (Fred), Wilhelmina Ruffin (Raymond), Caroline Lewis-Thomas and Katherine Lewis. She also leaves 33 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a very special friend/sister, Annie Ruth Combs.
