Mrs. Helen J. Gordon's Obituary
Today, we bid farewell to an amazing, God gifted, talented woman of God, Helen Delois Jenkins. Her earthly life began on September 28, 1938, in Daleville, Mississippi to the late Rev. Matthew Jenkins, Sr. and the late Arnetta Jenkins Mosley. Helen's educational foundation began at Daleville Elementary School, Stevenson High School, Toomsuba, Mississippi, T.J. Harris Jr. College, Meridian, Mississippi, Alcorn State University, Lorman, Mississippi, and did furthering studies around the state of Duluth, Minnesota. Helen always was searching for resources to improve her life. Helen accepted Christ with the Antioch MB Church, which she served in many departments in the church: She taught many years a.t the Meridian Jr. College, Alexandra High School, Brookhaven, Mississippi. She was an avid reader, which she loved as a hobby. Helen gained her wings on November 7, 2021, proceeded in death by her parents, Matthew, Sr. and Arnetta, 2 sisters, Symerian and Cordelia (New York) and nephew, Ralph. She leaves to cherish her memories: Sisters, Annie Pollard, Martha (Roosevelt) Carter, Brothers, Matthew Jenkins (Shirley), Rev. M. T. Jenkins (Brenda Sue), nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
