Mrs. Helen Ruth Walker's Obituary
Helen Ruth Boston was born April 3, 1947 to Gabriel Boston and Inez Hall Boston. She departed this life Saturday, June 24, 2017, in Meridian, MS at her residence. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Cuba, AL until she united with Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Meridian. Helen had an extraordinary work history as she recently retired from the Lauderdale County School District at Southeast School in Food Service. Her past employment was at Perfection Cleaners, May Webb Hosiery Mill until it closed, and Anderson Hospital for a short period of time. Helen Boston was joined in holy matrimony to Levesta Walker and to this union was born one son, Dexter. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Levesta Walker. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Dexter Darnell Walker (Kaaryn), Alpharetta, GA., three grandsons: Jordan, David, and Evan Walker; one sister, Leona Taylor (Charles), Duckhill, MS; three brothers: Lamar Brown, Chicago, IL; Gabriel Boston Jr. (Mary), Meridian; and brother Frank Boston preceded her in death. Helen leaves a host of nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory as well. Thanks to a special friend Clara Shamberger.
