Mrs. Helen Mae Williams' Obituary
Helen Mae Williams, was born August 29, 1938 to the late Roger C. Graham and Corean Graham in Meridian, Mississippi. She accepted Christ at an early age through her grandparents, Pastor Charlie & Maggie Graham. She graduated from Wechsler High School in Meridian, Mississippi. She moved to Flint, Michigan where she started her family with Martin Meeks. She worked as a manager of black owned cleaner service and she also worked at General Motors. Overall, Helen loved being a homemaker. She loved cooking, knitting and also went back to school to become a furniture reupholster. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she especially loved getting dressed up to go dancing and listening to blues. Helen always had a loving spirit with the beautiful smile when greeting anyone. Helen's pride and joy was her family and her family's land. After raising her children in Flint, Michigan, she remarried Robert Williams and they moved back to Meridian, Mississippi to build their home on her family's land, which was always her dream. Helen was happy to be home. Helen became a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Meridian Mississippi. Helen leaves to cherish her memories her loving children, Tina Marie Meeks, Martin 0. Meeks (Laura) of Flint, MI; God daughters: Patricia Sanders and Renee Johnson; grandchildren: Ka Wanda M. Meeks of Las Vegas, NV, Edgar Clark (Tierra) of Flint, MI, Martin 0. Meeks Jr. (Kadija) of Flint, Ml, Charles Pryor of Arizona and Christopher Wilson of Flint, Ml, and God granddaughter Shirley Stitt of Lithia Springs, Georgia: great grandchildren: Torey Abrams, Xylo & Nyen Barzart all of Las Vegas, NV, Mikel, Macoy, Merci, Edgar JR. and Emeri Clarke of Flint, Ml. O'mariaye, Jaquaveon, Pierre, KhaMarieah, KhaMiyah, KhaMeenah, KhaMesiah, KhaMorrah Meeks all of Flint, Ml. Siblings Anne Margaret Terrell of Flint, Ml. Marilyn Graham (Tillman) of Baton Rouge, LA, Kimberlyn Battiest (Robert) of Arlington, TX. Eddie Graham and Michael Graham of Meridian, Mississippi. Charles Wiley (Joann) of Atmore, Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews and dear friend and sister in law Ora Dunn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger C Wiley and Corean Graham. Husband Robert Williams, son Earnest Spencer and grandson Martarien Wilson. Brothers Earl Graham, Ricky Graham and Randy Graham, Noah Williams, Robert Wiley, Calvin Wiley and Tim Wiley.
