Mr. Henry Anderson Dooley's Obituary
On January 9, 1955, Henry Anderson Dooley was born in Meridian, MS. He was the fifth child born to the late Alfred and Eloise Dooley. Henry's walk with Christ began at an early age at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful servant of Christ and active Deacon until his date of departure. Henry was educated in the Meridian Public School District, graduating from Meridian High School in 1973. Shortly after graduation, Henry married his high school sweetheart, Gwen Cole, in July of 1975. To this union, one son and two daughters were born. Henry worked in many professions, but it was with Lance of Meridian where his career would span a total of 28 years until his retirement in 2012. He was a hard-working, devoted employee best known around town as "The Potato Chip Man". Henry's lasting legacy will continue through his wonderful wife of 39 years, Gwen Dooley, one son, Patrick Dooley; three daughters, Katrina Smith (Nathan Smith), Sheneatha Thompson (Torrey Thompson), and Tiffany Dooley; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers Alfred Dooley, Sherman Dooley, Wayne Dooley, and Larry Jones; sisters Ethel Marie Scott and Sandra Gilliam; two sons-in-law, six brothers-in-law, five sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends .
