Mr. Henry Lee Sanders' Obituary
Mr. Henry Lee "Hank" Sanders was born on October 20, 1949 to the late Marvin J. Sanders and Mary S. Dukes Sanders in Rosehill, MS. At the age of 12, he relocated to East Brunswick, N.J., where he spent his educational years. Later in life, he relocated to New Brunswick, N. J. As a young man, Hank taught himself to play the guitar. He was well known for playing lead guitar and singing with bands. No matter where he was, if someone asked him to play the guitar, he was delighted to do so. On December 22, 1971, Hank united in holy matrimony to Clara Middlebrook Sanders. Hank was employed with J. P. Stevenson for many years. He attended Pentecostal Holiness Church in North Carolina where he served as a deacon. Hank was preceded in death by his parent, three brothers: Marshall Lee Sanders, Hebert Sanders and Tommy Lee Sanders; four sisters: Marvalean Simeon, Earnestine Chapman, Mary Pearl "Kate" Scott and Nora Lee MarshalL He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters: Beatrice Strickland and Lagina Diane (John) Little; four sons: Kenneth Strickland, Sam (Keoka) Sanders, Daren Sanders (Michelle), and Latrell Sanders; three brothers: John Sanders, Marvin Sanders (Lucille), and Arzell Davis; three sisters: Mary Bowie, Carolyn (James) Gates and Rosa Lee Edwards; one sister-inlaw: Rosie Sanders; a close friend: Willie Pruitt; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
