Mr. Herbert Marshall Young, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Herbert Marshall Young, Senior was born May 9, 1946 to the Arthur Young Senior and Girtha Young. He was born and raised in Searcy, Arkansas. Later in life he moved to Mississippi where he departed this earth on January 28, 2017. After Mr. Young completed high school in Searcy, Arkansas, he joined the United Army where he served in the Vietnam War and was injured. After leaving the Army as a Sergeant, Mr. Young moved to Flint, Michigan and began working for General Motors for more than 30 years. Mr. Herbert Young was proceeded in death by his parents Arthur Young Senior and mother Girtha Young, three sisters: Patricia Young, Edith Bonner and Deloise Wright, one brother Arthur Young Junior. Mr. Herbert Young leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Herbert Young Junior (Renee) of Ohio, and Marvell Buckley of Newton Mississippi. Three daughters, Valeria Brown of Michigan, Stephanie Hipp (Danny) of Arkansas, and Salena Buckley (Jason) of Mississippi. Five sisters, Doris Young and Shirley Mc Donald of Kansas City Missouri, Evelyn B. Ross of Pine Bluff, Arkansas , Birdie Young of Chicago, Illinois, and Bobby Hendrix of Little Rock, Arkansas; one brother Carl Young of Judsonia, Arkansas. He was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. We would like to give a special "THANK YOU" to Judy Sperance for all of the Love and Care that she has given. And a thank you to family friend Minnie Love.
