Mr. Herman Eugene Harris, Sr.'s Obituary
Herman Eugene Harris, Sr. was born on December 29, 1950. He departed this Earth to live with his heavenly father on November 9, 2017. He was one of 6 boys born to Marvin and Theresa Harris all of whom proceed him in death. Also, a daughter, Stephanie Harris, and two grandchildren, Maurice Sims Jr and Jakarra Harris happily received him in heaven. He and his brothers were raised by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Ora Lee Harris. Hennan was educated in the Job Corps where he learned many skills. He also enjoyed playing basketball in his youth. As he matured, he met Callie Scarbrough. They were married October 9, 1972. They have 45 years of marriage which produced children year after year. Jeffery Scarbrough (Tomika) 1971, Stephanie Harris (deceased) 1974, Joanna Harris 1975, Herman Harris Jr., 1976, Sara Harris, 1988, Leland Harris,1988. So, with 6 children they have produced 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren who called him PawPaw. Also, to mourn his passing a sister, Mary McCarty. A host of cousins, nieces, and nephews in the surrounding area as well as in Milwaukee, WI. Another dear friend, Archie Owens, who considered him a big brother. Herman had a love of music especially the blues. His favorites being Muddy Waters and James Brown, which he was able to enjoy in the final hours of his life; He also enjoyed fishing and was known to drag in the big ones.
