Mr. Herman Norris' Obituary
Herman Norris was born on February 10, 1940 to the late Marzine Norris and Susie Webb-Norris. Herman accepted Christ at an early age and attended New Salem Baptist Church in Whynot, MS He was a graduate of Harris High School in Meridian, MS Herman Norris retired after being employed by the city of Meridian for 30 years of dedicated service. Herman was also affectionately known as "Booney ". His favorite hobbies that he loved were fishing and hunting. He often enjoyed sitting on the front porch talking with family and friends. He was soft spoken and will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help others.
He departed this life on Sunday, January 17, 2021. He was preceded in death by: his parents: Marzine and Susie Webb- Norris; grandson, Jasmine Wade; three sisters: Ida Mae Ford, Earline Preister and Bettye Campbell; two brothers, Roy Winston and Lonnie T. Norris; and a special friend Betty McNeal.
He will be deeply missed and his loving memories will be cherished in the hearts of his son Danny Earl Wade (Barbara) of Powder Springs, GA; his brother, Larry Gowdy (Angela) of Louisville, KY; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
