Mrs. Hope Sherrell Bourrage-Alexander's Obituary
Hope Sherrell Bourrage Alexander was born on April 3, 1973 to Arme Earl Bourrage and the late Annie Mae Brown Bourrage in Meridian, Mississippi. At the age of 26, she dedicated her life to Christ and never wavered from her faith in Him. Hope was a 1992 graduate of West Lauderdale High School. She continued her education at Jackson State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2007, she received her Phlebotomy Certification from Meridian Community College. For many years, Hope worked as a Childcare Investigator for the Mississippi State Department of Health. Hope loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. On June 25, 2023, Jesus whispered softly, "Well done thy good and faithful servant, come unto me and rest, and without hesitation, Hope took His hand. She leaves a lifetime of love and memories with her three daughters, Clarissia Carson, Whitney Carson and Jasmine Carson; five grandchildren, Sa'Miriyia, Sa'Nova, Hezekiah, DeSaria and Myliani; one expected granddaughter, Aneilla; her father, Arme Bourrage; two sisters, Lisa Brewster (Frank) and Rebecca Bourrage; and three aunts, Flora Mae Brown, JoAnne Bailey and Lillie Mae Nelson. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will forever miss her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Mae Brown Bourrage; maternal grandparents, Clara and Samson Brown; and her paternal grandparents, Myrle and Harvey Bourrage.
