Mr. Isom Ben Davis' Obituary
On June 21, 1932 Isom Ben Davis was born to the late Ben and Bessie Davis. I.B. was known as “Cowboy”, “Sugar Boy”, and his nephew, Chris McDonald gave him the nickname of “Blade”. I.B. was united in holy matrimony to Minnie Lee Rogers. He joined MT. Pleasant Baptist Church in Battlefield, Mississippi at an early age. I.B. was a production worker at Krohler Manufacturer and Hardin’s Bakery. After retiring, he was a security guard for McDonald’s Security.
On March 23rd, 2014, I.B. entered into eternal life at Jeff Anderson memorial Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Davis and his parents, Ben & Bessie Davis. He is survived by seven children and one sister.
His memories will be forever cherished by his sister, Mary Ruth McClelland, his children: Wayne Rogers, Lee Lewis (Rochelle), Ira Delk (Rick), Patricia Davis all of Meridian, MS; Gloria Bloodsaw (Hubert) of Battlefield, MS; Cynthia Davis of Stafford, VA; Denis Weathersby (Terry) of Walnut Grove, MS; two sisters-in-law: Betty Davis and Bonnie Sim; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
