Mr. Israel Ramsey McQuarters' Obituary
Isreal" Do Jack" R. McQuarters was born September 20, 1926 to Georgia Mae Ramsey and Frank McQuarters Sr. He united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He remained a faithful member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed. He served in different capacities of the church such as trustee; Chief Usher, Deacon and choir member . He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1945 and received Honorable Discharge. He was also known as the " Candy Man ". He was preceded in death by parents; Georgia Mae Ramsey, Frank McQuarters Sr.; one daughter Mary Ann Jones, Seven brothers Otis Ramsey, Bobby Ramsey, Jimmy Cole, Henry Ramsey, Willie Harvey, Brother Ramsey, and Frank McQuarters Jr .. Two sisters Ivia Moore and Elizabeth Burage. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife Catherine McQuarters three sons ; Byron (Eloise) McQuarters of Bailey, MS., Billy Jones of Meridian Ms .. Leroy (Cynthia) Jones of Modesto, CA.: three brothers, Eddie McQuarters, George (Mary) McQuarters of Detroit, MI.,· Algene (Dorothy) McQuarters of Daleville MS. Seven sister Vella Mae Cole of Meridian, MS. , Janie Jones, Verta (Walter) Peyton of Detroit, MI. , Myra Griffie of Cleveland, OH., Elease (Charles) Robb of Gallatin, TN. , Leonia (Larry) Johnson of Knoxville, TN., Naomi Lee of Las Vegas, NV.; Sister-n-law Verna McQuarters. (13) Grandchildren, Gloria Culpepper, Kathy McQuarters, Bryon McQuarters Jr. , Anthony McQuarters, Erica Jones, Shataria Jones, Vernon Jones, Shaniquwas Jones,Jacobie Alexander, JaCatherine Jones, JaCaleb Jones, JaCody Jones, JaCory Jones, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
