Mr. J.D. Lewis was born on December 12, 1924 to the late Miss Lillian white and Mr. Sylvester Lewis. He departed this life on July 24, 2013 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memories (9) sons: J.W. Lewis, John Lewis, Billy Lewis, Henry Lewis, J.D. Lewis-Doss, all of Meridian, MS; Jeffery Lewis Brown of California; Willie James Lewis, Andrew Lewis, Christopher Lewis of Alabama; (7) daughters: Helen Lewis Rush, Betty Lewis Doss, Hazel Growther, Heretha Lewis, Dorothy Lewis, all of Meridian, MS, Ms. Katilin Gordon and Kaliya Gordon of Alabama.; (2) brothers: Mr. Sylvester Lewis Jr. and Mr. James Lewis, (2) sisters, Naomi Harris and Charlene Scott of Hattiesburg, PA; a host of grandchildren, great-grands, nieces, nephews and other relatives & friends.
