Mr. J.W. Henderson's Obituary
J.W. Henderson was born March 1, 1940 to the late Curtis and Mae Catherine Henderson in Meridian, MS as the last of seven children. J.W. confessed Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in the Zero Community. on October 13, 1959 J.W. married the late Rosie Ann Kelly and this union continued until her passing in 2008. To them, three children were born.
J.W. Henderson was a dedicated employee of Atlas Roofing where he retired after 28 years of employment. On Tuesday, April 9, 2019, J.W. Henderson departed life at his residence. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Rose Ann Henderson; his parents, Curtis and Mae Catherine Henderson; three sisters Ola Mae Burns, Ester Bell Walker and Essie V. Woods; three brothers, Vannoy, Henrite and A.C. Henderson.
J.W. is survived by his loving and devoted children: two sons, Lee (Clarice) Henderson of Waco, TX; Terry (Brenda) Henderson of Meridian, MS; one daughter, Kathy (George) Price of Enterprise; one sister, Betty Johnson of Meridian, MS; eight grandchildren, Deneka and David Henderson, Delia (Wayne) Green, Trail Price, Jonathan Thomas, Teri Lynn Grady, Danielle Donald, Theron Donald and seven great grandchildren. He was survived by one aunt, Eula Bell Thompson of Michigan, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
