Mr. James D. Gray, Jr.'s Obituary
James D. Gray, Jr. was born to James D. Gray and Jessie Olivia Gray on August 4, 1956. He departed this life on February 23, 2016. at H.C. Watkins Hospital in Quitman, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by two daughters, Tonya Gray and Sonya Gray, one sister; Maggie Moore and one brother Roosevelt Gray. His parents, his grandmother Mattie Mae and grandfather Robert McGruder. James attended Enterprise High School and worked for Burlington Industries for many years. He was also a truck driver for Builders Transport, J.B. Hunt and Schneider Trucking. James was a terrific mechanic as many in the com-munity will attest to this trade. He joined New Fellowship Baptist Church in Enterprise, Mississippi at an early age where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and Trustee. He was also a member of the Enterprise-Magnolia Male Chorus. He was joined in holy matrimony with Linda Faye Harris and to this union five children were born. He leaves to cherish his memories: Linda Faye Gray (wife); Children: Cynthia McBride, Memphis 1N; Fredrick Gray, Quitman, MS; James (Patricia) Gray, Buckatunna, MS; Nine grandchildren: Chantara Gray, Crystal Gray, Markiesha Gray, D'Wayne Gray, Daneisha Booker, Adelia Gray, Ja'Quan Gray, Mackenzie Gray and Journey Gray. Three Great Grand-children: Joshua Gray, Dylan Gray and Aiden Coleman. Two Sisters: Mary Ann (Willie) King, Enterprise, MS; Regina Harris, Stonewall, MS; One Brother: Samuel (Alberta) Gray, Enterprise, MS; a special cousin: Walter Berry, Meridian, MS; One Sister-in law: Gloria Jean McDyess, Quitman, MS; Three Brothers-in-law: Casanoble Harris, Quitman, MS; L.C. Cooks, Washington, D.C., Napoleon Moore, Aurora, IL; his extended family: Lessie Mae Foley, Enterprise, MS; Lakkisha (J.B.) Burnett, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia; Walter "Hop" Moss, Enterprise, MS; Richard Moss, Gulfport, MS; and Tina Moss, Meridian, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
