James Edward Martin was born August 11, 1964 in Meridian, MS to Adele Martin and Johnny Dunnigan.
James received his education in the Meridian Public School system. He was a devoted butcher at James IGA, Hudnall’s Grocery and M&B Grocery. He was also a skilled appliance worker.
James was united in holy matrimony to Lucy McCoy in March of 1997.
God called James home on October 1, 2019 at 6:18 pm at his home. James was preceded in death by his grandfather Eugene Martin (Blackboy), grandmother Larcenia Martin and stepmother Jessie Mae Martin. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother: Adlee Martin; father: Johnny Dunnigan (Lila Mae) all of Meridian, MS; two sons: Rotundo Jenkins of Atlanta, GA and Lamaurice Jenkins of Meridian, MS; two grandchildren: Rokhia Jenkins and Rotundo Jenkins, Jr., both of Meridian, MS; eight sisters: Annie Davis and Sandra Martin both of Meridian, MS, Brenda Mason (Joe) of Texas, Susie Brock of Caltfomia, Dorothy Dunnigan of Texas, Linda Stribling (Glenn), Shelia Amos (Will) and Carolyn Moore (Tracy) all of Meridian, MS, five brothers: Fredrick Crowell (Rosie) of Meridian, MS, Anthony Martin (Dawn) of Tallulah, LA, Johnny James Dunnigan, Robert Dunnigan (Josephine), and Michael Dunnigan all of Meridian, MS; a uncle who was more like a brother: Willie Ray Martin of· Meridian, MS; four blended family members: Anthony McCoy, Michael Steele, Kimberly Neal and Charita McCoy all of Meridian, MS; special friends: Shelia Naylor, Joyce and Curtis Spencer and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
