Mr. James E. Patton's Obituary
Mr. James Patton 1 of 10 children was born to Mrs. Clara Mae Patton and Mr. John Patton on August 9, 1950.
Mr. Patton started working as a teenager, doing odd jobs. He worked for the city of Meridian for several years and then afterward he started working at Meridian Order and Buyer, which later was named Miller Cattle Company, as a cattle foreman until he retired at the age of 62.
He was married to the late Mrs. Lillie Patton. In this union, 3 children were born. After the death of his 1st wife, he married Mary Marsh Patton in 1999.
James departed this life on August 2, 2018 in Long Beach, MS. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Patton, parents Clara and John Patton, a son James E. Patton Jr (Pap), and a sister Dorothy Birge.
He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Mary Marsh Patton of Lakeland, FL; daughter Teresa Patton Alfred (Jeffrey) of Long Beach, MS; son Tyrone Patton (Angelina) of Meridian, MS; an adopted daughter Olympia Patton, three grandchildren A’zia Carr of Meridian, MS, Jeffrey Jha’mir Alfred of Long Beach, MS, and A’zaa Alfred of Long Beach, MS, one great granddaughter A’miyah Lee, one brother John David Patton, seven sisters Lisa Holt (Ricky), Margaret Brooks (Jerry), Sandra Coleman (Carl), Diane Woodbridge, Donna Tinsley, Geraldine Land (Tonny), and Barbara Trussell, and a lot of nieces, nephews, and friends.
