Mr. James Arthur Pettus' Obituary
Mr. James Arthur Pettus was born on Wednesday, March 3, 1943, in Kemper County, Mississippi to the late Arthur and Ruthie Pettus. On Monday, February 17, 2020, James went to be with the Lord peacefully. James was baptized at an early age. After James was grown he moved to Detroit to find better employment opportunities there he began working for Chrysler Corporation and worked there for 30 years before retiring. He was united in marriage to Peggy Pettus. To this union, three children was born. After losing his wife Peggy, James decided he was ready to come back to Mississippi to spend his retirement here. Before leaving Detroit he meet and married Annie Ruth and they moved home to Mississippi to enjoy their retirement. James leaves to cherish his legacy his wife Annie Ruth Pettus; One Daughter, Margaret (Jsose) Kennedy; Two sons, James Arthur Pettus, Jr. and Kevin (Theresa) Pettus all of Detroit, Ml. Seven Grandchildren; Jsose Jr. and Lyric Kennedy, Chauntae Pettus, Kavonna,.Zamaria, Tamiia and Kevin Pettus Jr. And four Great Grandchildren. One sister; Fannie Mae (Butch) Johns of Nashville, Tennessee, Two brothers; Robert Pettus of Scooba, MS and Johnny B. (Julia) Pettus of Detroit, Ml. And a host of Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends.
