Mr. James A. Rushing's Obituary
James Arthur Rushing, II was born on March 3, 1947 to the late Bessie and James Rushing, Sr. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and savior. Affectionately known to many as "Pee Wee", James was a longtime dedicated employee of the Meridian Star Newspaper. He was a family man and loved family time. He also loved making memories with his many friends. On December 29, 2022, God opened his heavenly gates and welcomed into his kingdom another angel, James Arthur Rushing, II He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jahiem Jemison, and his brother, Charles Rushing. His memories will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 39 years, Polly Rushing; his children: Brenda Jones, Nadia Rushing, James A. Rushing, III (Jessica), Georgia Rushing and Evanda Dawson; seven grandchildren: Summer, Ja'Nya, Jahmir, Jayquan, Erica, Laticia and Davarous; two brothers: Willie Rushing and Donald Rushing (Bertha); one sister: Michelle Ali; sisters-in-law: Janie Dawson, Sandra Bolden, Julie Burton and Lela Glenn Richardson; brothers-in-law: Thomas Dawson and Donnie Lee Dawson; one aunt: Willie Robertson; one uncle: Ezell McClelland and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
