Mr. James Spears' Obituary
James Lester Spears was born November 24, 1949 to the late Marshall James and Easter Mae Moss Spears in Toomsuba, MS. He grew up with four sisters: Elnora (George) Carson, Annie Ruth (Darron) Spears Spencer, Edna Ruth Sillimon and Daisy Mae Spears Hinton (deceased) and three brothers: Spencer Spears, Dewayne (Phyllis) Spears and Alexander Spears.
He confessed Christ at an early age at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church where he was an active member. Later, James joined Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in 2009 and was a faithful & dedicated member until he departed this life. James served on the trustee board, member of the choir, member of the United Methodist Men and an East Lauderdale Cluster representative. He loved his church and was dedicated to Wesley Chapel and the members. He was always the first one there and the last to leave.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Fantasia Jennings and two grandchildren: Serenity and Sebastian Harbin; one aunt, Lillie Ruth Hicks; six nieces: Mashanda (Andy) Ruffin, Sha (Richie) Ashley, Katrina Hinton, Aundria Hinton, Tabatha Hinton and Dorothy Sillimon; and six nephews: Glenn Spears, James Edward Sillimon, James Earl Sillimon, Robert Lewis Sillimon, Frederick Leon Sillimon and Antonio Maurice Sillimon; and a host of great and great-great nephews and nieces & cousins.
He was preceded ind earth by three aunts: Agnes Eakins, Eliza Ann Jackson and Janie Mae Wilson and two uncles: Marvell Spears and ZL Dixon and three nephews: Robert Lewis Cole, Jimmy Wayne Carson and Timothy Carson.
