Mrs. Janie Ruth Parker Camper's Obituary
Janie Parker Camper was born August 18, 1938 to the late Floyd (Dan) Parker and Juanita Tinsley McCoy in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Three brothers, Jessie Parker, L. V. Parker and Claude Parker; three sisters Carrie Bell, Idell Blanks and Jenny Bell preceded her in death. A grandson Cedrick Drake preceded her in death. Janie received her education at Daleville School. She confessed her faith in Christ and became a member of Tabernacle Church of God, Daleville, Mississippi. She later united with Anderson Temple Church of God in Christ, Meridian, Mississippi. Monday, April 1, 2013, Janie was called to her heavenly home. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Johnny R. Harvey (Cherie) Minneapolis, MN and James L. Harvey, Meridian, MS; four grandchildren, Patrick (Erica) Harvey, Danielle Harvey, Meridian, MS, J anieta Harvey and LaShaya Harvey, Minneapolis, MN; great grandchildren Cedrick, Patrick, Jalen, Jayla, Jaliyah, Gerald, Alaijah; an Aunt Cleo Pringle, Bailey, MS.; Two brothers Charlie (Barbara) Parker and Dan Henry (Hazel) Parker, Los Angeles, CA; four sisters Bessie Blanks, Bailey, MS, Ola (Allen) Sue, Bronx, NY, Crystal (Rayfield) Hatcher and Susie (Willie) Parker Hodges; Brother-in-law George Blanks, Daleville, MS; sister-in-law Dorothy Parker, Los Angeles, CA. Best friend Bessie Smith and Sunshine the Bird; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
