Jaterio Markquise McKee was born on April 5, 1993 to Oleshia McKee and Henry Brooks of Meridian, MS.
On Sunday, September 24, 2023, Jaterio was suddenly and tragically snatched from our lives and replaced with memories and tears. A tragedy for all those affected by this loss, he will forever be loved and missed.
"Woosie", a nickname he gave himself, was always smiling. He would turn anyone's bad day into good.
Jaterio was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Earl McKee.
He leaves a lifetime of memories to be cherished by his mother, Oleshaia McKee; his father, Henry Brooks; his fiancé, Mikayla Wilson; his children: Landyn, Deleon, Sa'Miriyia, Hezekiah, Desaria, and Amri; three brothers: JoVante Mckee, JaMonie Brown and Sancarius Overstreet (Duggie); three sisters: O'Meika Brown, Jy'Kiriya and JaKyla Brooks; grandmothers, Mae Bell McKee and Mittie Brooks; grandfather, Henry Ray Hodge; aunts, Kenyatta McKee, Joyce McKee, and Jakie Perez; uncles, Marcus McKee and Santonio Brooks; one niece, Jocelyn McKee; one nephew, Ryshun Brown; and a host of other relatives and friends.
