Ms. Jeanette Morris' Obituary
Jeanette Morris was the sixth of ten children born to the union of the late Mary Randle Morris and Lawson Morris, Sr., on June 2, 1951 in Meridian, Mississippi. At an early age, she united with St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. D. L. Dixon. She was a devoted Christian who loved attending Sunday services. Jeanette was educated in the Meridian Public School District. She was a graduate of Harris High School. After high school, she relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. There, she furthered her education as a healthcare provider. She also becanie a foster parent, giving other mothers the opportunity to better themselves while caring for their children. Affectionately known as Peter Rabbit, she was a very caring woman who gave and received love from all of her Cleveland, Ohio and Mississippi family and friends. In June of 2022, she moved back to Mississippi where she resided until her untimely passing. On Saturday, Septen1ber 24, 2022, Jeanette Morris departed her physical form and began her spiritual ascension. Left to mourn her passing and cherish her memory are her four children: Dontravyn Morris, Ashley Morris, Murrell Williams and Delonda F. Shakur,· siblings: Bobby (Earrie) Randle, Henry Morris, Helen (Walter) Morris, Wilmer Sue (Curtis) Bebley, and Loretta (Eugene) Robinson; two sisters-in-law: Delois Morris and Pearlie Randle; four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were dear to her. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Sylvester Morris, Winford Morris and Lawson Morris, Jr.,· one sister, Georgia (Benny) Walker, and two uncles, Cecil (Clara) Randle and David (Anna) Randle.
