Mrs. Jeanette V. Pearson's Obituary
Jeanette V. Pearson was born April 25, 1944 to the union of Ernest and Mattie Fisher in Meridian, MS. She accepted Christ at an early age as her personal Savior at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She played piano for ever all churches in the community, including the Senior Choir at St. John. Jeanette attended East End Elementary School, Wechsler School and graduated from T.J. Harris High School in 1962. Jeanette matriculated at Alcorn State University 1962-1966 as a Home Economics major. Shortly after graduation, Jeanette moved to Chicago, IL. She started working for Chicago Public Schools in 1966. Exhibiting her expertise between John Spry Elementary School, Friedrich Von Steuben High School and Austin High School or a total of 34 years. Jeanette was united in marriage with James “Jake” Pearson in 1969 and from the union two children, Brian and Edwin, were born. Jeanette loved gardening, flower arranging, decorating, sketching and scrapbooking.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: a devoted husband, James “Jake” Edwin Pearson; two sons, Brian Fisher Pearson, Edwin Jermaine Pearson, both of Chicago, IL; both parents, Ernest and Mattie Fisher, Meridian, MS; two brothers, Richard Fisher, Pontiac, MI; Kevin Fisher, Meridian, MS; two sisters, Cynthia Kennedy (Elmer), Meridian, MS; Althea Fisher, Hattiesburg, MS; three aunts, Rose Talbert, Chicago, IL; Willie C. Anderson, Meridian, MS and Maeola Bryant, St. Louis, MO; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
