Mr. Jeffery Damond Wooten's Obituary
Jeffery Damond Wooten, was born June 13, 1972 in Meridian, MS to Jimmy Larry Wooten and the late Mary Jean Bailey Wooten. Jeffery attended church with his parents at New Prospect Baptist Church during his early life and throughout his life showed a deep devotion to Christ. Jeffery, attended Meridian Public Schools and was a graduate of the class of 1991. He enjoyed playing football with the Meridian Public Schools and at EMCC, in Scooba, MS. Jeffery was employed with Express Lube and Midd Meridian for several years. He also worked the local cable company. Jeffery was a mild mannered kind soft spoken young man, some would say wise beyond-his years. He loved race cars and he enjoyed working on them. He was a good man and was always willing to help anyone. He was a good father and found great joy in taking care of his son. On July 11, 2019, Jeffery completed his course and departed this life, setting himself free from the trials of this life. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted father, Jimmy Larry Wooten, Meridian, MS., two sons Dallas Jones, Memphis, TN. and Joyce Wooten of Meridian, MS. Five uncles Charles Edward Wooten, Silas (Jean) Wooten, Meridian both of Meridian, MS., Bobby Bailey, Livingston, AL., Stephen T. Bailey, George Bailey, Jr., both of Meridian, MS. Five aunts Ollie Mary Wooten Thompson, Meridian, MS., Helen Frances (Clinton) Wooten Reed, Tulstin, CA., Evelyn Joyce Wooten Mosley, Los Angeles, CA. A special auntiee, Rosie Bailey (David) Wooten, Clayton, LA. Aunts: Cheryl A. Bailey (Darrell) White, LaTonya Bailey, both of Montgomery, AL., Yolanda M. (Nikki) Ba;Jey of Baltimore, MD., a host of friends. He also leaves many cousins: Marcus, Janeisha, Aleah, Karmelo, Davesha, David, Bryce, Randy, Demondre, Angelic, Danielle, Natalie, Cherish (Marcel), Deron, GeMarria, Cedarrian, Braylon, Tiwanna, Jeremy, Stefan and Cameren. Jeffery was preceded in death by his mother Mary Jean Bailey Wooten, his paternal grandparents, Lesco (Adelaide) Wooten, and his maternal grandparents George (Mary) Bailey, 2 uncles Benny Frank Wooten and Lesco Wooten, Jr.
