Ms. Jerlean Kirksey's Obituary
Jerlean Kirksey was the second child of eleven born to Tillman and Minnie Jordan
Kirksey on June 5, 1934. After a brief illness, Jerlean was called from her earthly home to her eternal home on July 27, 2024. Eight of her siblings, Della, Monroe, Jo Ann, Fred, Johnny, Jimmy, Tillman Jr, and Ora; her two daughters, Rutha Lee and Brenda and her son, Larry, all preceded her in death.
erlan was an active member of the Church of God of Quitman before joining Shiloh
Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health declined. Her unwavering commitment to her faith was an inspiration to all who knew her. erlean was a dedicated employee at Burlington Industries, where she worked for many years before retiring. Jerlean was known for her commitment and hard work, earning the admiration and respect of her colleagues.
She leaves behind a loving and cherished legacy including her sons, Joe Wille (Vanessa), Paul (Donna), Jimmie, Lawrence (Tramaine) and Frederick (Renita); her daughters, Delois (Ronald), Carolyn and Wanda; 38 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Each of them will carry forward her memory and the values she instilled in them.
