Mr. Jerome E. Hooks' Obituary
Jerome Hooks was born on December 20 th, 1966 in Meridian, MS. He was the firstborn child to parents Robert and Frances Hooks. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the St. Matthew United Methodist Church. Jerome attended West Lauderdale High where he played varsity football for four years and also was a member of the JROTC program. He completed high school in 1985 and soon after joined the workforce including several years as a Plane Captain at Naval Air Station Meridian and Columbus Air Force Base.
Jerome was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Consulla Brown. To this union was born one daugher, Brittany Hooks. He was passionate about cars and loved to keep each one he owned shiny and clean. He was just as passionate about his dogs, Blake and Rosie.
On Thursday, July 25 th, 2024, he entered into eternal life at Ochsner Rush Medical Center. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Robert and Frances Hooks of Bailey, MS; two sons, Jermaine Lewis of Sacramento, CA and Jerterrian King of Dekalb, MS; one daughter, Brittney Hooks of Hattiesburg, MS; four grandchildren, Bella King, Serenity Miller, Mason Kade Hooks and M. Cree Hooks; two brothers, Robert Hooks of Brandon, MS and James Hooks of Meridian, MS; one sister, Melissa Hooks of Columbus, MS; one nephew, Andradeas Atkins of Columbus, MS; two aunts, Sadie Page of Bailey, MS and Catherine Deham (Bill) of Syracuse, NY; and a host of relatives and friends.
