Mr. Jerry Cole's Obituary
Jerry Cole, known to many as “Nut” was the oldest of 10 children born to the late Russell Cole Sr. and Anna Pearl Chambers on October 3, 1951 in Vimville, MS. Jerry departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at his home.
Jerry was educated at Middleton Attendance Center. He was a faithful and devote member of New Era Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and served on the Usher Ministry. He also served numerous years on the County Wide Usher Ministry. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 475.
His employment history included the City of Meridian, Meridian Coca-Cola Company and Magnolia Beverage Company of which he retired after 31 years of service.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jimmy Ray Cole; and one niece, Michelle Seals.
He leaves to cherish his memories: four children: Keesha Correlle Shack, Jerry Phillips, Quincy Cole (Kyenya) all of Meridian, MS; and Jeremy Cole of Biloxi, MS; six sisters: Margaret “Sally Ann” Seals, Gloria Cole, Katrina Cole, Daisy Cole and Beverly Cole, all of Meridian, M; and Shirley Phillips (Stewart) of Tampa, FL; two brothers: Russell Cole Jr and Dennis Cole, both of Meridian, MS; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; a very special friend, Larvonia H. Kelley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends whom will miss him dearly.
