Mr. Jerry McWilliams' Obituary
Jerry Mc Williams was born to James E. Mc Williams, Sr. and the late Veleria Gibbs Mc Williams on June 27, 1973 in Meridian, MS. God saw that Jerry was getting tired and He knew it was time for him to rest his from labor, receive his reward in Heaven and transition into his new Heavenly home on February 29, 2020 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Jerry was a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School and Mississippi State University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Information Technology. Jerry loved his profession very much. He took pride in his jobs, co-workers and patients. His smile was beyond contagious and could lift a heavy heart with nothing but his smile and energy. Jerry was a dedicated and faithful member of Open Word Christian Ministries in Georgia, until he decided to move back to Meridian to be closer to family. He later joined Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he was ordained as a Deacon. He was the Adult Sunday School Teacher, a mentor to the young men, Male and Adult Choir member and was a faithful member until the declining of his health and his passing. Jerry loved children and they loved Jerry. The youth were very dear and close to his heart. Jerry was involved in numerous organizations, including the Third Enterprise District Baptist Association, Face It Fellowship Organization, God's Great Men Organization, Ben Watson Memorial Golf Association, Coach of the First Tee of Meridian, MS and the BIGGEST Mississippi State fan ever. Jerry loved life, his family and friends, but his love was beyond deep with a huge heart for the love of his life, Shunda, in whom he married on March 28, 2015. He was that Christian, upstanding Husband and never failed his love for her, until death did them part. He was preceded in death by his mother, Veleria McWilliams; brother, James E. Mc Williams, Jr.,· grandparents and one (1) uncle. Jerry leaves his legacy behind and his memories to be cherished by his loving, caring and devoted wife, Shunda Mc Williams; two (2) sons: Lashley (Bianca) Davis of Byrum, MS and Ashton Temple of Chunky, MS,· his loving and devotedfather, James E. McWilliams, Sr.,· one brother: Jermaine (Tiashan) McWilliams of San Antonio, TX· sisters-n-law, Patricia Croft of Meridian, MS and Leslie Gail Hall of Chunky, MS; brothers-in-law: Rev. Jeffery (Roslyn) Croft of Webster Grove, MO and Rev. Shawn (Marion) Crofro.fehtmky;-MS,"four (4) nephews: Justin Mc Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Ladarius Mc Williams, Micaiah Heard and Jaxson Mc Williams all of San Antonio, TX; one (1) grandchild: Harleigh Brielle Davis,· one (1) Goddaughter, MaKayla Curry; a special daughter-in-love to be: Quasha Laster,· a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, church families and many friends. .
